November 18, 2012, less than a month from now, the official launch of the Wii-U will occur, forever ending what has been historically one of the longest and most controversial video game generations ever.
Let's talk, /v/, how do you really feel about the past 7 years of gaming? I honestly disliked a large portion of it, so much of it feels blurry, but I'd be lying if I said the whole generation was trash. There were plenty of games that managed to go under the radar that I felt more than made up for the CoDs and MEs that the media obsessed over.
There is so much of note that happened this generation, some good, a lot of it bad. The introduction and integration of motion controls, Kickstarter pushing crow-funding for games, an obsession with shooters, developer controversy and shut-downs abound. Too much to name in a single post.
