>>162987092I feel you. I seriously just started working (seasonal) and put 250 to this game.
It's not even about the game. I don't game these days. I'm just fucking disgusted by what gaming has become.
Every game at the beginning of this last console gen (which I skipped entirely) was a bullshit GTA clone with inbuilt cheats. Then came the third person chest high shooters. Then came CoD and regenerating health. Then came the RE4 clones. Then the genrebleed where all games had to play the same and have the same mechanics so everyone who was 'new', a concept stoked by Nintendo's and Apple's desire to get everyone and their mother gaming, could pick up and play a game as soon as they sat their fat asses on a sofa with no fuss--in fact, they could install the several instances of day 1 dlc at the press of a button too!
Everything is casualized, we're told things are good and getting better, but franchises are essentially dying left and right in the vain hopes that a younger generation relates to the reboot: Splinter Cell, Devil May Cry, Diablo 3, Hitman Absolution, I could really go on.
All I want is to game again. And my only hope is outer space.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2a7clqqbHZII've got no expectations for this game. I'm older now, games aren't a reward. There is so much competition for my limited time. This is something different. This is me making my stand. I don't know if this is the right answer.
All I know is first you've got to get mad.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WINDtlPXmmEI'm looking forward to buying a new rig, a joystick, and alpha, then betatesting the hell out of this thing. This whole thing has the promise of being a pretty total experience. I'll fight for that.
