I don't understand this.
How is it that every console released since the PS2 has sucked so hard, but the Nintendo handhelds have been so consistently amazing?
The Gameboy all the way up to the 3DS have been astounding, but every Microsoft console ever, the PS3, and every Nintendo console since the N64 have been lackluster at best.
At least Nintendo's trying to mix it up, but their innovations with consoles have been coming up as ham-fisted and awkward, whereas the innovations and changes in the DS and 3DS were elegant, well done, and well-implemented.
I only ever used my Wii as an emulation machine and I got it launch day. I'll probably never get a Wii U. My DS on the other hand got at least weekly use since it came out, and same with the 3DS (even with a somewhat slow start).
Nintendo should just drop out of the console race and put all steam into handhelds.
