>>197195618I agree.
>>197195842At the very least you're good at digging your hole deeper while simultaneously missing the point completely.
The point isn't who they made more money with or who I want to buy them; personally, I'd prefer if a third party BESIDES Sony and Nintendo would buy them just so they could keep producing for both platforms, but that isn't the point I'm making (though it seems to be the only point you feel like addressing for some reason).
Index is dead. If another company does not buy Atlus, Atlus will also be dead. Nobody knows who is going to buy them, but the current favorite educated guesses are Nintendo or Sony, followed distantly by various third parties (such as Bamco). Atlus has a history and a relationship with both Nintendo and Sony, making either of them prime candidates to pick up the brand name and IPs, BUT if either of those two picks them up, Atlus will then be exclusive to that company's system, as they would not exist without them. If Sony buys Atlus, there will be no more Nintendo Atlus games; likewise, if Nintendo buys Atlus, there will be no more Sony Atlus games. That is simply the situation I am trying to explain which you refuse to understand, and will probably continue to refuse to understand after this since "Uh oh, can't admit I made a mistake on an anonymous image board."
All that said, a high ranking muckity muck in Sony just expressed "Good luck Atlus," which is typically something you say to someone you are uninvolved with. If Sony was planning on bailing out Atlus, and they still may be planning on doing so, now would be the perfect time to instead ensure people "Don't worry, we'll save Atlus." But they haven't. "Good luck Atlus."
Personally, I tend to game on Sony consoles and Nintendo handhelds, so it literally makes no difference to me which direction the pendulum swings since I get all my SMT either way. It's just that the wind is currently pointing towards Nintendo, but that promises nothing.
