What it is: Worlds is essentially an abandoned 3d chat simulator from the early 1998 to 200x period. Around 10 years ago it was quite literally the Second Life of its day, every single room (world) packed with people.
Today it is nothing but an abandoned place with 10 or so insane 'regulars' who sit there all day.
Why bother: To put it simply, Worlds is a fucking strange game. It not only allowed (allows) people to chat and join it, it also ALLOWS THEM TO BUILD CUSTOM WORLDS OF THEIR OWN. Normally this would be nothing of interest but the underlying STRANGENESS and general CREEPYNESS of many of the worlds make the place unusual.
Finally, aside from the insane regulars, the creepy rooms and the outright bizzare designs there is a player avatar there called Nexialist that stalks players there.
Also its free to play.
