What do you guys think is the best weapon for dealing with the paranormal?

Obviously in this situation the paranormal creature in question would be tangible and visible

I have a few guns, but nothing I would trust my life to. I've noticed that /x/ and /k/ seem to get along very well.

Pic related, it's my choice (and what I'm buying payday) .357 magnum. I've fired them a few times before. It's a good sized caliber with manageable recoil, .44 is too big of a kick for just grabbing and firing with little notice.
