>>10441052I eventually asked Adam about it and he denied it flat out, as did his little brother. Other people have had bouts of sleep walking there, Adam claimed a girl he taken there walked out of the cabin and just circled the camp area for close to an hour.
After we put a few beds in the cabins I started sleeping more soundly up there.
Last time I did an over night was a few years ago when i took my now ex wife and her nephew on an excursion.
By this time we had all heard the stories about people sleep walking up there and attribute it to not being used to sleeping in the woods, so there isn't any real feeling of uneasiness.
We bed down for the night and i start to drift off uneventfully.
We start waking up and moving around, no one really talking. I hit the out house and start washing up before I assemble the butane stove. I wash my hands absently, when I notice dirt caked all up under my nails. I keep them chewed pretty short, so it had been a daunting task to get that much muck up under there.
I scramble up the eggs, fry the bacon, while the other get sat at the table.
I'll never forget the moment, as I was scooping eggs onto her plate, when she asked me where I had wandered off to last night. The look on my face told her everything she needed to know and she dropped it for the time being. Ever since then, I can't even get close to the woods without feeling a crippling anxiety.
Needless to say, I don't go camping anymore.
