Here's what's happened to me over the past couple days.
>Visiting my family in the Great North Woods of Wisconsin for my folks anniversary.
>Staying at my parents house.
>Decide to go hiking in the forests of my youth.
>Wander around for a couple hours, once I regain my headings everything is familiar, like I never left them.
>Come upon a trail that I don't remember.
>"Oh cool, someone blazed a new trail."
>Follow trail for about 2 miles or so.
>It comes to a cave.
>The area I grew up in is pretty flat, as in no stone cliffs with caves.
>"Fuck it. Adventure!"
>Get about 10 feet into the cave and get hit with a wave of stink, like rancid skunk farts, if the skunk ate shit.
>Fuck that, head home.
>Dad and Grandpa (dad's dad) sitting on the deck drinking.
>Tell them about the cave.
>Both turn as white as sheets.
>Grandpa asks if I went in and before I can answer my dad says it's alright because I was never baptized.
>Both refuse to speak about it.
