Right /x/, there were a couple of threads not too long ago dealing with creating an original monster or horror because Slendy has gone out the fucking window.

From the last thread, there was talk of:

>A mundane sound you begin to hear more and more before you start hearing it in places you shouldn't

>A meme, a literal meme of any kind, becoming the vector or source of some kind virus or mark that brings strange things (vague idea right now, but deals with memes of all kinds being potentially malicious, think how the virus spreads in the film Pontypool, but through Facebook and Reddit and 4chan)

>/x/ accidentally stumbling across something real after some photoshopped pics are uploaded

>Passing by a person on the street, bumping into them accidentally or giving some money to a beggar, then only realizing after you've walked away they look monstrous somehow.

>A place, not a monster, a possible 'dimensional' borderland that widens with time, people go into it and bring things back, etc.

There was of course the usual pale skinned, thin humanoids with black eyes and toothy grins hanging about and even some small, stocky gnomish things (a welcome change). And I seem to recall a man with a hippo head (or a hippo with the body of a man).
