Astral projection thread? I want to use it to visit someone who I want to get to know and talk to but who I won't be able to talk to physically in a few weeks and can't in RL b/c of pre-existing circumnstances. I've heard that you can talk to people who have passed away while projecting, but can you also project to people that are still alive? And does it really work by saying the person's name and then *pop* you are there?

yeah, you can summon anyone you can think of. some people will be there without you summoning them. they will be other dreamers

>>7552642 Goddamn't. Ah well. Shoulda known better.
>>7552636 Well, I don't know where they live and if I could find out I think it'd be odd.
>>7552635 Thanks sir or madame.

>>7552655 Alright. That's good. When I do go to visit them, will repeated visits make them more prone to think of me or remember encounters conciously (in the physical body)?

Bumping again (I really am sorry I just sort of need the answer tonight so I can start trying soon)

I think i've experienced it before. Back when I was 8-10, I fell asleep on the couch watching some boring noon shows on the t.v. and had one of those sleep paralysis happen on me..that was the first time i experienced it, i think. So, naturally, i freaked the fuck out and tried my best to move and wake up. It was weird, i could feel the position my body was sleeping in and did my best to will my arms to move. Strangely enough, they felt like they had move just like it would when awake, but obviously they didnt. This went on for a while between lapses of being actually being able to wake up and going back to sleep due to being subdued with sleepiness. Later on, after it had happened on about the fourth time (sleep paralysis), I managed "to roll off" the couch..uh..i guess in my dreams i did. but then i realized i was still dreaming because i got off the floor and stood up...looking at myself sleeping on the couch. then i floated about ~10 feet and watched as my mom walked through the door after coming home from work... it was fucking weird.

>>7552798 That's definitely projection. What you described (waking up and falling asleep) is actually a method for projecting: the more you wake up and go back to sleep the more your body and brain become used to that state, and summarily release control over your muscles and relax, which apparently facilitates projection.

Warning !!rEkSWzi2+mz
>>7552817 if that was indeed an astral projection, then i guess i can replicate the event by inducing sleep paralysis and will my body to move? then i'll just fall back to sleep and achieve the same effect over and over again until astral projection occurs.
i don't know why, but i get sleep paralysis a lot. and in most cases, i usually wake up from it (after fighting it and force myself to wake up), only to fall back to sleep and experience it again.

>>7552864 Yeah. Although there are brain-entrainment tones called isochronics, they work like binaural beats but there are at least two that are free for astral projection. Just listen to them on headphones while sleeping whilst *not* thinking of projection or thinking at all (it's easy w/the tones) and you should be able to do it easily. I can never go back to sleep after waking up.
Here's a site for them:

>>7552892 thanks. i might just try it tonight. still sketchy about trying it though. considering i just watched insidious today.
any dangers of astral projecting i should know about?

>>7552919 Well, as long as you explicity say "I don't want to meet X" (X being evil or frightening spirits or whatever) you should be fine. You can't die or anything like that unless there is a physically problem w/your body, in which case you would die whether projecting or not.
Also, you *may* have a short time of it. Don't think of your physical body while projecting at all or you'll probably return.
Other than that it should be a cool time. Like I said, I'm trying it b/c there's someone I feel like I should try to get to know in case I was supposed to do something w/her in this lifetime, but she'll be gone soon and I can't talk presently w/her due to circumstances.

>>7552919 Also, if you want to email me about it or do a sort of comparison or whatever we could do that. My email is in the field
