Hypothetically, an asteroid that possibly is too big for us to deal with is on its way to smash Earth.

Do you think aliens would interfere and help us? maybe either by destroying said asteroid or evacuating a select few.
Perhaps they have a very strict 'no playing god' rule and leave us to our fate.
