Alright /x/. I've tried talking to my friends, I've told my family, I went to a counselor, I even talked to a priest.(non-religious btw, don't make this some silly debate about god)

This is my story...

Since I was about fourteen I've had insomnia pretty badly. I've been prescribed a slew of medications for it but they either didn't work well or worked too well. What I didn't tell anyone is why I couldn't sleep. I'm here to tell you, to see if you have anything that can explain this phenomenon in my life.

About the age of thirteen or fourteen I had a dream which I cannot begin to put into justifying words. The reality of it was terrifying, the thoughts, smells, tastes, events, memories, all seemed real during the dream. The dream went something like this:

I'm sitting at a table eating breakfast. The table was a short rectangle situated in the center of the kitchen itself, with the sink at my back and a window directly above it. Three people are there eating with me, though I cannot remember their faces or names. As we ate the person to my left pointed hastily over my shoulder to the window. As I turned around to look, what appeared to be an orange circle was appearing over the edge of the curtains. I stood and walked to the window to pull back the curtains. As I did i realized to my dismay that the orange circle was, indeed, not a circle at all. It was one of two large mushroom clouds in the distance peaking up over the horizon. As I stood in horror a booming voice echoed in my ear, saying: "I remember the first day, the day the sun turned brown, the coming of nightmares, the sleeping of old men". The words seemed so loud and reverberated so deeply that my bones felt sore. When I awoke I was sweating and burning with a fever. I got sick for three days following the dream with flu-like symptoms.

After many nights of restless sleep and peculiar dreams I suddenly got better. Except for the sole fact that I couldn't sleep anymore. I would take nyquil, melatonin tablets, you name it. After about a week of only sleeping two or three hours a night my parents took me to a doctor and i was prescribed ambien, the dose and type (extended or instant release) I don't know. After being prescribed the ambien my sleep problems actually became worse on the medication. Being unable to rest the ambien simply made me hallucinate in a half-awake state where reality was a playground of blurred images and sounds. These are the things I remember while being on ambien.

Noa. Noa was my guide. She wasn't in any way mean but nice would be inaccurate as well. Noa was simply Noa. How I know it was a she or even her name, I couldn't tell you, but I knew. Noa took me to places, whether real, past, present, or future, I don't know. She would take my hand and a loud 'pop' sound, like when someone puts their finger in their cheek, would emanate from her and we would appear wherever it was.

The first place we arrived was a forest of nothing but dead trees. I could see people moving about in the trees, all traveling in a south western direction (again, I don't know how I knew this). There were some women, very few children, but mostly men. I'd estimate the group to be anywhere from 400-600 strong. All of them looked very malnourished, disheveled, and sickly. Noa looked at me with her blank faceless expression and simply pointed at them. As she pointed I saw words appear in front of my eyes that I remember clearly to this day.

"Why are you like this?"

He thought I was possessed (this coming from a non-religious man) and refused to tape me again after just 45mins of watching me. Two things stood out in the dribble I was gurgling out in my half-awake state.

Two more weeks of this insanity went by and my parents took my off the ambien and had me placed in a psyche ward for evaluation. My time spent there is a dull blur because they had me taking something that completely destroyed my ability to remember while on it. When I was released back to my parents I had accumulated a series of strange notes written down in a notebook I apparently was given while in there. Among the many pages of erratic drawings and misspelled words I found a note written in blue ink, in perfect hand-writing. I don't remember it verbatim but I do remember what the very bottom said, "P.S. Noa is getting you out soon, love."

Unfortunately as I've gotten older I've moved around quite a bit and I lost the note. Wish I could share it =/

After leaving the ward and finding the note I was convinced something was going on that was far beyond my comprehension. My fits of sleeplessness became longer and longer and my sleep became more aberrant and filled with nightmares of Noa and the places she took me. After two weeks of missing school due to my state my counselor at the time prescribed me seroquel, 100mg taken nightly. At first I was sleeping without a problem, getting on a regular schedule, and returning to school.

I awoke from this dream again, sweating, feverish, and again became sick for three days. I went to a doctor and had a full evaluation. The doctor said I appeared perfectly normal except for my fever which was neither the flu or any other identifiable illness.

A month went by, and in this month I slept an estimated 22 hours and was becoming incredibly delusional. I was hallucinating vividly and talking to my parents about meeting a god and going to the future. I was taken off the seroquel and given a strict diet and told to exercise for an hour daily.

After being taken off the seroquel I began to sleep somewhat regularly again until I had another blue house dream. No voice accompanied this dream. Again I was sick for three days. After getting better I went to spend some time with my brother and his wife. After explaining to his wife my ordeal we drove over to a friend of hers and I told her what was happening. I described the symptoms of my sickness and the friend, for one reason or another, happened to own a Geiger counter. She brought it out, turned it on, and held it next to me. To my dismay the geiger counter clicked and showed i had very slightly raised levels of radiation around my body. She proceeded to test this by putting it next to herself, and then my brothers wife, to no avail.

Being a kid at the time and having had little sleep over the past months, I didn't quite understand the gravity of this discovery. The next location was more desolate than the first. Ruins of a city stood before Noa and me and we walked, for what seemed to be hours, until reaching the outskirts of the city. Noa took me to a market, if you will, where people speaking a language I didn't recognize were trading what little goods they had. Here it seemed currency had dissolved to anything that helped sustain life. I saw a stand selling what appeared to be water filters, another selling clothes that appeared very new, but very old. It appeared to be an abandoned church, gutted by looters. As we sat a single man entered a few moments later, wearing nothing but a robe that was tied at the waste with a piece of rope. The friar, as i call him, walked down the center aisle not looking at any of the pews and ascended steps at the end of the room. I looked at Noa curiously and got that feeling that I should be patient. Moments later the friar returned and sat on the second to last of the stairs. Noa stood up and I followed her lead, as we walked up to him I noticed he was holding something in his hand.

The place you are in is neither one place or a number of places. It is simply, and utterly, known to most as the in between. There is a plane between this one and the next. Some call if purgatory, most call it space.

Essentially you are visiting this plane by way of dreamstate however are unaware of the trigger and not open to the doorway. Amberdale is the angels word for the Second gate. And coincidentally it is also the name of the person you are seeking named Amber. The dreams, as stated above, are prophetic. You are being shown a glimpse of a shattered future within this plane between "Heaven" and reality. The reason the world appears so shattered, is because there is uncertainty.

Uncertainty within prophetic visions often leads to a skewed view of the actually prophecy. It's like looking into a still basin of water and then thrusting your face inside. You see whats inside, but it becomes distorted and twisted due to the movement. There is no way to alleviate this as it's simply beyond your power to simply travel between planes.

Seek Amber, take the prophecies as they come and do not be afraid of what they hold. While they may be filled with strife and pain, there is no telling how much this may change.

As a side note, and to clear up any confusions if there was any, Noa is not your personal angel nor will you ever meet said entity.

ok, considering that this is real... you are basically dreaming that a nuclear war or something similar is going to happen (and the sick people you see are the survivors) when you find out what amberdale is you will get more clues, at liest thats what would make sense, so yeah if you can control what you do in your dreams with Noa, ask her about it, how can you meet the person or go to the place depending on what it is.

Hey OP, I dig your story and I will admit it seems somewhat prophetic. If you're the future savior of humanity, I'm glad to say I posted in your thread.

I'm certainly no expert in this field, but I'm, a big Manly P. Hall fan and he's had some intriguing lectures on the subject. Truly prophetic dreams or visions are revelations sent by God to specific individuals in order to guide humanity in the correct direction. These individuals must be carefully chosen, and indeed most prophets have been men of great virtue and faith. If a wicked man were to receive a prophecy, his wicked nature would cause him to distort the prophecy and pervert it's meaning.

For example, if a greedy man were to have a vision, he would likely try to profit from it, while a jealous man might use it to put himself above others, etcetera. Even a normal man would likely be a poor candidate for a prophet because even if he were basically virtuous, most men lack the conviction, perseverance, and moral authority to make a proper prophet (it just struck me that would be a cool name for a band)

Now, I'm not going to sit here and try to tell you that what you're seeing is or is not a truly divine vision. Frankly I have no idea. But I do not think it is possible to receive a message from above and then have no clue what it means. These things are not random and there is a plan to them. True prophets are a rare gift to mankind, and heaven would not squander such precious gifts to those who have no use for them.

Im always dreamin of zombies... i like zombie movies and for me its my favourite apocalypse

the dreams are some kind of really cool and some kind of frightening... always ends in getting eaten ^^, having no guns or no ammunition, fleeing, hiding,...

i dont wanna change my dreams with yours, although yours sound more epic... but there's nothing more frightening than dreaming the way you do, when everything seems that real and having this side effects when waking up and sweating, getting ill and so on...

Hmm, I always dream of raising an army/starting a revolution/staging a coup and taking over the government, then proceeding to try to take control over as much as possible. And I'm serious these are very vivid dreams and they seem to go on for YEARS. I've lived whole epic takeovers in my dreams. They always end with me getting defeated/being betrayed by someone close to me and ending up in prison:/
