Evening /x/,
I've been working at the Canadian Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense for a year now.
I actually got off work today at about 12-noon, but I only got out of the medical ward at about 3pm.
Anyway, ask me anything you're curious about; I'm in the mood to vent a little.
>Do NOT archive these threads. http://chanarchive.org/4chan/x/16603/ask-me-anything-it-s-a-holiday-no-work I only ask that you don't fucking archive this. ^
Pic mildly related.

>>8339683 Okay, you guys were bothering me about that last time so I actually lurked a little and found out about waters. Then while I was at work I looked up her description, characteristics, appearence, etc etc.
Waters is a text book example of a Bogeyman(woman).
A bogeyman (also spelled bogieman, boogeyman or boogieman) is an amorphous imaginary being created by the fears of children.
Slenderman (if he were real) would also be an example of a bogeyman.

Welcome back Canadian G-man. You mentioned in the other thread that if enough people believed, something could become real. Say, like Slender Man, for example. I'm more or less curious of the possibility of monsters coming to life this way, born from stories and belief, etc.

I now apparently have some sort of etheric symbiote inside me. He just decided to phase out of my neck and had a big sideways smile, a bunch of triangular teeth, and a pair of wings with a bunch of eyes on them. Any information on this, or on what exactly he is? So I can't really question what waters is doing- in canada we usually try to hunt them down and kill them then lable it as a teen suicide or pedophile.

How do I use a "tripcode"? Tripcodes can help verify a user's identity to others, and are a type of pseudo-registration. To use a normal tripcode, place an octothorpe ("#") followed by a word or short phrase after what you've entered into the [Name] field (ex. "User#password"). Upon submission, the server will generate the hash unique to that particular word or phrase. The previous example would display "User !ozOtJW9BFA" after being posted.

When electricity was newly discovered most people would have thought of it as "magic", but it has practical possibilities so now it is common and most people would have a most basic understanding of it. why is "magic" different from the universe as understandable from the viewpoint of science? don't get me wrong, i come to x because i'm too curious and imaginative for my own good, but to think there is an actual Bureau that actively works to maintain certain things hidden because they're "paranormal" seems far fetched and illogical

These vampires OP refers to are mainly (if not only) energetic vampires, meaning they look and act like regular people, just that they are highly skilled in using their energetic auras to suck out your own vital energy, ie. kundalini. OP means that at shady night clubs you will find tons of these cunts, also in shady raves (psychedelic drugs open up your chakras and let your kundalini flow more openly, these bastards actually take advantage of this). This is the typical hot girl at the bar that talks with eveyrone but leaves alone; when she tries to strike up a conversation with you she hogs your attention (hence making you give her your energy). In the case of males this is the womanizing bastard in every club. It could also be one of your friends, you know the one I, talking about, the one that is really friendly and everyone likes him but for some reason you always feel tired when talking/standing next to this guy. They "bite" by making you interested in them, hence taking your energy.
Some vampires do not know what they are doing, some of them do it out of experience. But the most advanced and the most powerful ones know perfectly well what the fuck theyre doing.

It requires meditations and permutations of names, that if meditated upon with a hint of uncleanliness upon your soul, would literally consume you in an unimaginably hot fire.

>>8340460 why is the "paranormal" kept hidden?
People are stoopid in large groups. You seriously cannot expect everyone else to understand this, specially when our culture is highly religious and would regard all this as witchcraft and divination, I dont feel like getting burned at the stake once again. And also the paranormal is something you have to see and experience to really come to accept and understand. Have you seen that look on the normies face when you try to explain something they cant see and measure?
why is "magic" different from the universe as understandable from the viewpoint of science?
If you saw Thor you know that in certain cultures they are both one and the same (do some research on your own for fucks sake). Specially native americans, they use that shit all the time. If you can go study some Natives, you'll be surprised.
And there is a bureau because there are a lot of people who know this to be true, they just cant say it out loud. I dream of an age when we regard all of this as true and magic is once again one with science.

If you so happen to encounter some "spirits" or "guardians" as we call them, just make sure to introduce yourself if spoken to (try doing it in a polite manner, they take the fact that theyre probably older than our species very hardly), make sure that they understand that you want nothing to do with them, unless you do, they will ask for something in return, nothing is free and their work is precious to them.

Astral Projection is the assertion of the spiritual self in the physical realm while retaining a physical form elsewhere. You can complicate it with one thousand things at a time, but to put it bluntly, those who have the potential to transcend the plane's and become a higher being often don't realize it and do this shit.

You will start feeling nervous and you will start hearing noises all around you. these bastards sometimes like to trick people so take some candy or booze with you (booze is their killer since there is nothing like that where they live, hence they love it) offer it to them and let them know you are a friend and they shouldnt mistreat you. If youre lucky they will accept.

MY apologies for high-jacking your thread, OP. I was curious about a more serious matter, though. For a while, I've noticed the potential for transcending is more frequent in people. Did the Bureau ever investigate the reason? From what I understand, the Mexico Coast had a series of pulse's emanating from the ocean floor. I find it weird that the dimensions are JUST NOW realizing each other. I would have given it another hundred to two hundred years. A month after the imaginary friend phiasco I was given a promotion simply for not going insane and actually understanding the "rules" on how to exterminate unconventional/paranormal beings.
Of course the following week I was sent by myself to a public library (with a 9mm hand gun and a compass) on the other side of the city our branch was in for a very special mission.
There was reports of this loud and constant "chatting" noise throughout the building- it was loudest in the stair well.
So naturally I went to check out the stair well, alright?
The noise got louder, but it wasn't a normal hearing noise it was like that sort of rabble you hear in a busy restaraunt only inside my head.
Anyway I go down the stairs and try to follow the sound only to quickly realise that the stair case had been altered.
Now in order to get where the noise was coming from (the basement) I needed to go upstairs which was actually me walking downstairs.
When I finally did get to the basement of the library the noises was as loud as possible and I could make out a few audible names being mentioned.
I went into the basement.
The thing was sticking out of the tiled floor.
I shot at it indiscriminatly and reloaded my gun about twice before I was confident enough that it was dead.

OP is obviously a fan, seeing that he uses the Hellboy picture in his OPs. Now, certain things tipped me off to his bullshittery, for example when he said that the Canadian branch offered you a position while the US branch forced you to join. This fits in the the military stereotype that the military knocks n your door in the middle of the night and drafts you with out your consent. Why would the Canadian branch give you a choice? Why would they explain anything to you? Second was obviously the name of the bureau, which alludes to the Hellboy comic's bureau. Third, was his blatant ignorance of plesiosaur behavior and habitat. Fourth is claiming dinosaurs survived the meteor. Fifth is his inability to be specific with his answers for safety reasons, yet, despite working for a secret government bureau, can go on /x/ to post about his job. Clearly OP is ignorant of the existance of ECHELON and how the governments moniter EVERYTHING. His ass would be in a hole until he died if any of this were true. This leads one to conclude he doesn't know what anything and can't REALLY answer topics he's ignorant about, so he uses the 'I can't tell you' card. Maybe to even create mystique around him. All in all, bullshitery.

Three question/issues: Given that belief can create/shift things in reality, why hasn't North Korea done anything significant? The DPRK has millions of people who have nothing but the utmost faith that their leader will crush the American invader, so why hasn't this happened yet? Along a similar vein, why hasn't Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy manifested? Either of those two would, by their nature of repeated home invasion, be discovered very rapidly and have wide exposure. Why has physical proof of these cryptids (especially the dinosaurs) never been located? How prevalent is sorcerery/magic? Can anyone learn it? >>8341773 Let's say I can't get involved in the local community for various reasons, and your information is the only thing I can really go on here. Would you rather give me the information, or would you rather I go in blind?
Or perhaps because you are ignorant in this matter?

I'm getting pretty sleepy.
For the most part I honestly don't think you should be looking into demons at all, but if you're interested you can usually obtain a little more information from any sort of Grimoire.
If you're lucky you can usual find REAL ones at antique stores.
Retirement homes also usually have atleast one.
Anyway.
Did you guys enjoy yourselves?
I might have room for a few more questions.
Here's a link btw to the government of Canadas now defunkt "public" UFO page.
They still carry on documenting alien related shit- but they mostly put up the website briefly so as to distract attention from their actual work.

But are people actively wishing for North Koreans to starve? Couldn't the people's collective belief in their leader at least feed them?
On boogymen- so a generalized fear of the darkness (not a supernatural reaction but a natural reaction to something that intereferes with our ability to percieve our surroundings) leads to the creation of the personification of the children's fears? Why can't a generalized belief in goodness cause the personification of Santa?
On cryptids- if they're living in large enough populations to not die out due to a lack of genetic diversity (like cheetahs), they can't be completly unnoticed. If, as you say, poachers occasionally find them, why hasn't the story come out? Do government agents magically intervene before words escapes? Evidence of a triceratops living in the American southwest would dominate the news for weeks.
Why is a paranormal agency interested in hiding animals for conservation purposes? How does that really fit their mission goals?

What exactly happens if a vampire bites you? Is it like ''oh hey, youre a vampire!'', or is it more like, "Horrible pain for a while, and then you are one"? Thanks for making this thread OP.

>Bogeyman vs santa. One has has thousands of years to develop and intrigate into culture. And it's been fed by night lights and darkness phobias. A bogeyman is just a personification- santa on the other hand is just a recent addition.
Maybe we will have an actual santa in a hundred more years?
>Cryptids Being able to simply deny an animals existance is actually the perfect way to preserve it.
Do you remember when those hunters came on the news? They had a bigfoot corpse, but it turned out to be fake?
That was your bureau doing it's job.

How are you hiding populations of dinorsaurs large enough to sustain themselves genetically?
Are you claiming that anytime anyone finds evidence of cryptids an agency intervenes?

>>8341891 >Why is preservation a goal for your organization? It didn't start out that way, but it became evidently obvious that if we found an animal and then never admitted it existed- no one went after it.
Most wild life federations do the same thing with endangered species. They lie about figures to protect a species to give it some "wiggle" room.
>How are you hiding populations of dinorsaurs large enough to sustain themselves genetically? People aren't very observant.
There are entire valleys in africa within walking distance of logging areas that have thousands of gorillas.
Dinosaurs are usually smaller then cattle.
>Are you claiming that anytime anyone finds evidence of cryptids an agency intervenes? No, usually people dismiss it themselves or are dismissed by others just as easily.
It's when they go to the media we have to stop them.
For a while we tried simply paying off poachers but that only gave a small amount of them the iniatiave to seek out these animals.
This however slowly pettered out during the 90's after a few "accidents".
I'm pretty sure I'm starting to say too much.

>>8342095 I only vaguely know what you mean from playing warcraft when I was younger, but yes in a way.
Every so often Green peace or some other nature activitist group gets excited and an accident happens.
First the police is called, then the rcmp, then we're finally called.
They're very hard to "kill."

If they're interested in you though the'll find you.
Like any demonic magic we don't like to disclose the how, but it may or may not have to do with people actually finding real grimoires in antique stores or belonging to the elderly.
Sirens?
I'm not sure.
I don't cover to much work on the coasts.
