Hey /x/. you may or may not remember the series of Worlds threads we had back in the day. Anyways, I was wondering if there were any Worlds veterans from the old threads that would show me around a little bit. I never payed much attention while the series of threads took place. Anyways, if you're new to worlds and want to play, I'll post the pasta.

What Worlds Is: An early virtual chat from the late 90's/early 00's. Although the site and official servers are up and running, nothing has been updated in a long while. A relatively small group of regulars still log on quite often. They are all fairly old, from 30 on up. Many of the user-created rooms are creepy or generally full of WTF. Even the official rooms (the ones found on the universe map) have a strangeness about them, however unintentional that may be. Perhaps the age of the client and its graphics create a sort of uncanny valley effect? Who knows.

What Worlds Isn't: A cult, viral advertising for anything, an ARG, etc. It's simply a very early model of virtual chat that has been online for a decade or so. The various worlds created by users are just very creepy. There is nothing paranormal about Worlds nor is there any kind of conspiracy. It's just creepy and fun to explore.
