>>9000900Funnily enough, the air wasn't as bad by the reactor as at Pripyat. There was a metallic taste to it, which is obviously due to the radiation. There were some fish in the river by the plant that were huge, two cats at the hostel that had odd heads, and some ravens were following me that were also too large and ragged. there was also a yellow tit that surprised my other half in the hospital. If you look at the trees (there are pics of the Red Forest near the staret, but they're all around), you'll see that they're too spindly, and when you're there, that speaks volumes. Unfortuantely, I took no pictures of the animals, as they didn't stay around long enough.
Got there via plane and train to Kyiv, stayed at St. Sophia's, then went to meet the guides where allocated. There's more info near the start of the thread, again. ;)
