ITT: Whats the strangest thing youve ever found or seen in the forest or woods?

A friend and I were smoking weed in the woods behind his house, when we were walking down a trail we both heard this very sharp noise it was so loud that I thought my ears were going to bleed. Never ever figured out what it was and the police have since blocked the path off completely. We were telling some friends of ours and in the exact same spot by the pond they heard it too. They said it sounded like somthing underneath them was drilling or something. We plan on going back this weekend.
