DMT basic info:
N,N-Dimethyltryptamine is a compound found in many (if not most) living things. It has been used for thousands of years by many cultures from Asia to South America to transport a person from our world into a higher dimension and meet the being's that exist there. It is hypothesized that meditation at it's base tries to trick the brain into releasing DMT, allowing the brain to experience Nirvana.
It is most commonly injested as a tea (Ayahuasca) made from the Vine B. Caapi or from Acacia (wattle) plants though it can also be crytalized and smoked or vaporized.
It is hypothesized our pineal gland produces DMT while we are asleep. It is the mechanism that allows us to visualize and recreate a reality with our eyes closed. It is very necessary in recapitulation of events for the conscious mind to resolve problems. Though thanks to fear-mongering by the DEA and anti-drug groups, Neuro-Chemistry and Psycho-Chemistry is far behind what it should be and frowned upon so this is still just a hypothesis. DMT is not a party drug and should not be taken lightly, while being chemically non-toxic and non-addictive, the visions are intense and it will shatter your Ego Barrier, those unprepared may have panic attacks during the vision.
