To add to this discussion I'll tell a story about when I was young. Obviously, I didn't die, but eh...it's related.
Anyway, I was at a carnival that was set up in a grocery store parking lot. I was about three years old, and fairly little. My brother and I climbed aboard one of those rides that are like a "tilt-o-whirl," but where the booths are connected by a "crane arm" type thing to a central thing that spins around. I know, it's all very technical.
So, it looked like I was big enough to fit in the seat, but once the ride got to high speed, it turned out I wasn't. I slipped under the bar and was holding onto it by my hands, with my legs and feet flailing outwards. My brother held onto my hands on the bar, and I remember that.
My parents said I was having a great time, while they were freaking out. The operator didn't speak english, so he wasn't sure just why my parents were trying to stop the ride. Eventually, he did, and of course no one knew why, so all the other parents were pissed.
I don't remember much else but I know I could've died if the guy hadn't of stopped the ride, or at least I would have been seriously injured. But yeah...I just felt like sharing that, given the topic at hand.
Or, if you'd prefer, bump.
