That and I have no evidence other than the ideas i have come to trust in. >>9578234 so if i had a group of tinfoil hat types surrounding one dried up, bitter atheist then they might all experience something and the atheist would simply see something that their brain suggests to them that would make sense in their world view? Like, I see what i want to see because if i saw anything else it would drive me crazy? or more I see what I want because my brain has to give reality permission to fuck with me if whats being done is far enough outside my realm of belief? also, even if I got together 30% of the population and made them all earnestly believe in, say, a purple sky, would the sky in their part of the world be purple to them and anyone that even entertained the basest hint of possibility to their weird belief? or would they all just sse it themselves and it would just be a vision to them and not physically real? Like, instruments would show that the thing didn't exist but people would just see the readings showing the opposite if they believed.
This then brings me to another, bigger question: is all of this real? If I lived inside a box all of my life and never saw the outside world or heard of anything, would i be assaulted by ghosts and goblins and the like or would they not exist because I hadn't even heard of them?
Orcus !!gUifq0Wscto

I'd build one to tell me that it's freaking hot because that's what i believe it is and so does everyone else. basically, is it possible that reality is what you make of it and we are all simply wrapped up in our own worlds that make us invincible through our thoughts. If i believed strongly enough that i killed you with my mind, and you and everyone that had ever seen or heard of you or was related to you at all believed it, would you then acutally die? or is it true that the world may be a steaming pile of rubble with people sitting around on their backs because they're "dead"? Thus, would the creature only exist to me and the people I tell about it, or would some co worker of yours just walk into an alley one day and say "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?"
Also, what your saying about the atheist and the tinfoil hat idea is that an atheist in the midst of all these people would not see any of the stuff they're seeing, but would simply see what he wants, or would he alter reality to disallow this creature to function for the moment, once he sees some evidence that this creature may be in existance? is it like, if even a shadow of a belief exists in me pointing to ghosts, then I'll experience them, or would my brain try to make them not exist to preserve my current ideals? does it work like that, where I try my hardest to shrug off slight shifts in belief through unconscious reality manipulation (personal or otherwise) or does my brain do this only when something would actually drive me insane if I saw it?

On an unrelated note, is it common for vampires to keep their nature a secret to their spouses/ children (feeding in the night, etc.)
Also, you mention "Luck" with a capital L. Is this an actual force you have a belief in or does this guy just strike you as a bro, and he PUNCHED OUT A FREAKING VAMPIRE? I mean, are there people in the world who, for no reason you can see, have shrapnel miss them when something explodes, always manage to accidentally stop a foot away from the piano before it drops, or always manage to find silver dollars on the ground instead of pennies? Are there people like that and are they valuable to you? is this man one of them?

They're like angels, but in the sense that they're born to protect, serve, and safe keep those who would commit the 7 "deadly" sins. When a demon stalks a human they usually do so in order to couple with a person that perfectly matches the respective sin they feed from the most. And as they feed off of it their host becomes less of that until a demon parts ways with them- essentially leaving them a "better" person.
The christian theology however demands that demons be abolished and purged, etc.. etc.. This causes a sort of withdrawal and only causes the person to over induldge and demons to flock too them like mosquitos to an atrophying man.
Unlike angels, demons are considered Benign because they don't "foster" their faith feed-bags- they simply feed, protect, and leave.
Angels will manipulate their host into being what the require.

Here's a thought, dude. Over the summer, I had some severely bad dreams of implied rape by a large, gruff man. I would always wake up before anything ever really happened, but he did touch me, and I could feel it. He spoke to me, and it sounded like he was in the room, probably on my bed, which is rather small. Looking back, I don't think he intended to do anything other than scare me, because essentially, nothing happened. Either that or I was simply lucky enough to wake up in time. After some time, it eventually just ended. I've posted a few times about it, and get mixed results, but mostly leading to sleep paralysis. If you are however killed while being an animal- the body will turn back into a human in about 24 hours as long as you're "one piece." Skins, bones, and the like removed from the "original" piece will stay whatever animal they were.
