I was thinking of optimizing my connection in the hopes that the reliability and speed might raise slightly.  Even getting 8kps out of it would let me play a few MMOs in peace.(Currently get 5)

Is there a good optimization guide out there?  I found a recent guide a while ago, but I reformatted and lost both the settings and the bookmark.

I was looking through various Ipads for my grandmother, and I was wondering which was newer? An Ipad fourth generation, or the Ipad 2? Yes, yes, I know, it sounds like a silly question, but hear me out. I was thinking that the Ipad 2 was newer, the order going like this.

Ipad 1st generation
Ipad 2nd generation
Ipad 3rd generation
Ipad 4th generation
Ipad 2 1st generation

Then it occurred to me that the "2" might also mean generation. So the Ipad 2 would basically be the second item in the above list. Is this how it is, or is my first guess correct?

Right so I have a folder full of mp3's 320kbps and I want to encode them all to 128kbps.

I tried with " lame -h *mp3 " but it just encodes one of them...

While all this talk of Web x.0 and applications (such as word processors, etc.) running inside of browsers is going on, I can't help but feel there is one question left unanswered. And that is: Why do we want to run all of our software in this manner? Even Microsoft is starting to lean in this direction with their "Live" services. When will this end? I certainly feel more comfortable with all of my software and files on my local machine, but maybe I'm just paranoid. So what do people think about running applications or, even more ambitiously, whole operating systems across the Internet?

what does "S_SQLFAIL" mean? every time i try to upload an image or reply to a thread in one of the imageboards this happens.

Are there any problems going from 1.0.7 to 1.5? Like plugins/extensions not working?
