I'm having issues with neck pain after wearing my camera for more than an hour or so.

Do any of you use padded straps? What about using a longer strap and wearing it over one shoulder?

Looking at buying a DSLR

No.1256010 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Hey there /p/. I've been hunting around at a few different intro DSLRs, and a few medium range cameras, and I think I want to put some dough down for one. I've been looking especially close at the D5000 and the D90. One thing I'm lost at though is what makes one better than the other? Can someone explain this to me in layman terms?

ask a high school photography teacher anything

>i teach all years where photography is available as an elective (year 10- 12)
>atm in my year 11 and 12 classes there is only one guy in each and surprise surprise they're the only ones that know what the fuck they're doing
>kids think photography is a bludge subject but i prove them wrong, this is why i go from 3 year 10 classes to only 1 in year 11- 12
>i give bonus marks if a kid uses all manual settings on their camera instead of auto

pic related, this is what one girl gave me for her portrait project. i gave her a NS and her parents called up the school to complain

so fire away, i can also provide other photos my students have taken, good or bad

Does the Tamron 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 XR Di II LD have better image quality and sharpness then the canon kit lens 18-55mm?
