A research team at Indiana University has found that blood in pet dogs contain chemical flame repellants at 5 to 10 times higher concentrations than present in humans.
The team wanted to find out if pets could act as ‘biosentinels’ to help monitor how humans react to compounds that exist in the homes they share, since it is believed their metabolism is more capable of disintegrating the chemicals.
Well this would be considered an animal. I was on /ic/ but the people there are horrid! So I came here to /an/ hoping to find a better audience.
So what do you think of it? This is a LOTR fan art by me playing off of the name Oliphaunt. Hope you get it. By the way, this was painted on my Nintendo DS Lite.
Hey /an/ this is my first post here, so I decided I'd show of my baby bearded dragons. :3 They are only about, a year old now, about 10-11 months I'd say.
Gonna dump some pictures and give some back story on what pictures they are and such.
This picture is when I first got them and they were only about a month old.
Names are Cepheus, on the left And Cassiopeia on the right(Ceph and Cass for short). This was in a 25 gallon tank with a terrarium grass bedding.
hello /an/ts imagine yourself on the moon in the silent vacuum of space staring at earth, what would you say/think about earths inhabitants the corrupt, benevolent and those inbetween
My family just got a dog and I don't want them to train them wrong, so I'm looking for the best ways to raise him. Any solid guides out there?
I've been looking, but I'm a little skeptical on some I've seen. Some say that when he whines, you should not attend them? Just wondering, but isn't that teaching them that he's alone and we won't care for him?
