So, after 19 years of not touching a nip of alcohol(Not for any moral or religious reasons), I finally got drunk at a party. It was fun, but man, beer is kind of tasteless. Well, cheap beer at least.

What do you like to drink at parties /ck/? And more to the point, can a college student drink something that has taste without going bankrupt?

This summer, my brother and I want to take a road trip. Our main mission is based on visiting interesting places, trying interesting foods.

We're from New Jersey, and the only spot we have on our destination list is the Boise Fry Company (when we saw them mention "the Bourgeois", any of their fries fried in duck fat with truffle salt, we immediately knew we had to go there). I also know he's not willing to go clear across the country, so I'm going on the assumption that Boise's the furthest (farthest?) he's willing to travel.

We don't know when we're going, as we want to finalize our destination list first and plan around that.

So, where are you from, and do you have any must-visit places/dishes to recommend near you?

Pic slightly related, it's what I'm feeling trying to come up with ideas on my own.

Thanks in advance for help.

any coo/ck/s /ck/amp? I've been hiking a lot, usually day hikes. I'm getting in to backpacking though and am currently planning a thru hike of the Appalachian Trail.

Any unique food ideas/tips? Camp Stove advice? Especially for such a long trek? I need a light, reliable stove. So far I just have those mountain freeze dried meals, Jerky, etc. The typical fare. I bet other /ck/ browsers can come up with better ideas.

>Hear about Wendy's new fries, decide to check them out
>Order a large fry to go
>Open bag
>Carton is half full
>All the fries are soggy
>No way to leave any feedback

Suckered again.

Have you ever made a meal/dish using a recipe you saw on a cooking show? Just I realised that I never have.

About a month ago, there was a thread about homemade falafel. And some dude posted his nan's old school recipe using fava beans instead of just chickpeas. And I just want to say, if you are out there.. THANKS SO MUCH. I made some yesterday using fresh fava beans, and it turned out so good it nearly made me slap a bitch. Best falafel I've EVER had. EVER EVER EVER. Will be making it this way from now on...fuck the others.
I love it when anons deliver....
