A PlayStation 4 owner has come under fire after he used the new live-streaming feature to broadcast naked images of his drunk wife to online gamers.
The husband used the Playroom feature to expose one of his wife's breasts and then stripped her for all to see as she laid, apparently asleep, on the couch. The incident lasted about 15 minutes.
The new feature allows gamers to use a peripheral camera to turn their room into an "interactive playground", The Mirror reported.
Games Revolution, a gaming website, reported that moments before, the man, whose username is Darckobra, broadcasted a stream of the couple drinking heavily in their living room.
When the women appeared to pass out, he pulled open her dress and exposed her breast.
UNDRESSED
Then the channel went dark. When it returned, she was completely naked. It appears that he had undressed her. This was broadcast through the live video streaming platform Twitch, the New York Daily News reported.
Twitch quickly booted Darckobra and several other accounts that breached the terms of service, according to Ars Technica, a technology news and information website. Then the service proceeded to tweet out a summary of its guidelines.
"FYI: We continue to moderate according to our Terms of Service (ToS). Non-gaming content is not allowed," the company wrote. "Non-gaming content: If using PS4 Playroom, the content must be about games or gaming and within our ToS. Thanks for understanding."
Twitch told another tech website Gawker that they are vigilant about inappropriate material and will either ban or suspend the associated accounts, depending on the severity.
"In addition to our own efforts, the Twitch community is unique in that it likes to flag content they suspect or know is breach of our ToS," a spokesman for Twitch told the gaming glob.
