Hey there /po/ buds, long time lurker, first time poster here

Memorial weekends only about a month away, and that means, that the Fanime Convention at San Jose's coming up. I'm looking to cosplay as companion cube wielding a portal gun.

Anyone happen to know where I can find a papercraft of a portal gun, doesnt have to be fancy, just recognizable.

Another request, anyone know how to make an image larger easily, cuz i got a companion cube papercraft, but it needs to be big enough to be a helmet.

currently working on the life size portal gun. I would upload pics, but i dun got a nice camera, i'll upload a pic of it when i finish tho.

Gotta say, toughest papercraft i've done yet, considering how the pepekura isnt exactly finished either, so, i got soooo many fixes that i need to make T.T

Just an update, should be finished in a week?

I'm trying to think of how to do swappable weapons that can be done with just paper. I really like the idea that you can put together some nice looking miniatures for tabletop wargaming (or just displaying) without having to buy a lot of stuff. Magnets aren't _that_ expensive, but a printed sheet of paper is cheaper still.

That's kind of what I was thinking, but in reverse. The models have a nice stability being made of lots of boxes...cutting holes in them to add weapons seems like it might make them less 'solid'. I was thinking of gluing the 'mounting box' on where the weapon would go, and then having the 'real weapon' slide over the box like a sleeve. That way the main body would stay solid, and the weapons (once added) would also be solid.

So. Talk is cheap. I'll make one and show you.

I started four years ago with a Masamune hako. As of ten minutes ago, I officially downloaded my 120th gigabyte of papercraft.

Of that, I've maybe built fifty or sixty things, and of those, I've kept a handful of holiday items for tree ornaments. The rest were gifted out.

From Hako-clones to BuddyPokes, I'm emptying the drive of anything I will never actually make...Which is kind of sad because I thought I was only downloading things I WOULD make.

I filled up that little external hard drive. Mission accomplished.
