Macs have fake antiviruses too

http://yfsgt.com/view/macs-get-scamware-antiviruses-too/
>Apple’s share of the personal computer market continues to grow, and so does the amount of malware targeting OS X users. Intego has now spotted a rogue antivirus program for OS X which is now being pushed via poisoned Google results. When a user unwittingly clicks through, JavaScript on the page initiates a .ZIP file download. If users have previously told Safari to open safe downloads when they’re complete, the file is extracted and an installer appears — waiting for unsuspecting users to enter an administrator password so the MACDefender rogue can set up shop.

NAS OS

No.17279440 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I'm building a home NAS to store my stuff (about 5 TB so far) and can't decide which OS to use.
I want to use ZFS, but can't get some programs that install fine on Debian to work on it. Is there any safe way of getting ZFS to work on Linux, ideally without FUSE? Is Nexenta (BSD Kernel on Debian userland) any good / well supported?

Anyone here every repair a broken USB stick?

I thought the USB male connection was loose from the board so I stripped down the cover and it turns out that's not the issue. So I'm assuming re-soldering the 4 connectors (pictured) is what is required?

I only have a flux pen and heat gun on me, would that do any justice?

I don't want to send it to a hardware recovery shop until I have tried to fix it myself.

Well, it's official. Bulldozer performs worse than the x6 BE in all tasks except out of order.

What the fuck were you thinking, AMD?
