block out the figure/pose and composition first.
Focus on getting the shoulders and hips and position of the spine right. Whatever you do, dont draw the head and work down. Which is what it looks like here. The person would fall on their face, and their hands are tiny. Its useful to make many 15 second gestures of various poses, and then finish the ones that are interesting, and feel like they are in proportion.

You most probably already heard this before... but, practice drawing actual anatomy first if you're serious about this.

Try putting more contrast into the colours.
Like change the underwear to like white or something to go with the hair.
Also her arm is weird. The arm on the right near the upper arm. It looks odd.

Well, without stabilizer, and trying out some different brush settings, I got this. Obviously not perfect, and quite time consuming, but it's a lot closer to what I want. Now I just gotta practice and get good at line weights and such.

See anything else wrong/wonky with this?

Wrong, not particularly, it is an improvement over the first. (well the lack of a nose is disturbing, but im going to chalk it up to style.

Varying the line weight will help, Line weight should either indicate light/shadow, or importance, or solidness of the material. Otherwise, your image seems flat.

When it comes to line weight, maybe you should step out of anime for a second, and cause someone else posted something about it, and look at 15th-17th century engravings? say start with Martin Schongauer and see how he uses swelling lines and different line weights, and how to get dynamic shading with just line.

I was looking in on how to copy the style of medieval drawings such as this one, but I don't know how they were done and the books I have don't really say anything about that. Is there a specific sort of pen or tool or whatever that I must use to recreate lines like these? That's all I really want to know. I'll be thankful for any help.

Cant tell for certain from the image there, but if it survives and is period, it is probably a copper engraving (if its recent, it is trying to mimic the style). Search for engraving, intaglio, and etching (its far 'easier' engraving, while ive done it, is technically very difficult), and printmaking in general.

If you want to just mimic the style, pen and ink is the way to go.

If you want to do realistic skin tones, look at actual skin tones. Look at pictures of people. Hell, since you're doing Iron Man, look at Robert Downey Jr.

The real question, IMO, is why do you want realistic skin tone? You're coloring comic book characters in a comic book fashion. Why not stick with that and make the skin tone look comicky or cartoony? Pick up some comics or google some comic book images to see what works and what doesn't.

If you want to meet in the middle, look at some of the guys that paint comics like Alex Ross and Richard Isanove to get an idea of what colors to use. Or some of the Ultimates series that were painted.

tl;dr: Study skin tones to see how to do skin tones.

But if you arent going to do that, as for a base color a14 b 21 L whatever depending on ethnicity is a good place to start. You can vary it a few points from there. Remember to desaturate the shadows, or move towards green (or underpaint with a green earth color). Which is true in general, but nothing looks more fake than sunburnt shadows. A little movement towards magenta in the hightlights can work, but slightly,slightly, your figures shouldnt be be wearing rouge on all exposed parts. That should get you started.
