So, how does one run a Shadowrun Campaign in rural UCAS? My players are insisting we do a game set somewhat locally (Panhandle of Oklahoma...) and I'm having trouble trying to come up with much of anything beyond a campaign dealing with smuggling across the nearby CAS, Sioux and Pueblo borders.

It's basically about historical figures (like Billy the Kid, Jeanne d'Arc and Oda Nobunaga) fighting each other in Middle-earth, drawn by Kouta Hirano (the Hellsing guy) and it even seems a little like Berserk in some of the fight scenes.

1920s tech level, only playable race is human. There may be other sentient species, but the average person has never seen one, may have been told stories as a child, but probably doesn't believe anymore. The Beastman Wars happened 200-something years ago and resulted in what some consider the regrettable genocide of a primitive species of beast-like humanoids.

Magic exists. Every person has some tiny degree of magic--it connects to real phenomena like the emotional power of music--but some people can connect to the world on a much deeper level; this is known as "thaumaturgy." You have to be born with the ability, and thaumaturges come in several flavors, and each one has a unique way of using their powers, but also a serious weakness or price to pay. I've only come up with a good weakness for one of the varieties of thaumaturge, and I could really use some help coming up with the other ones. They are as follows:
